Executive Director

Mr. Jemal Tufe is a long time community servant. He has been serving the Oromo Community Center for over a decade. He worked on several positions including but not limited to: school navigating, immigration, employment counselling, health insurance application, coordinating & implementing public event. He walks their walk, talks their talks, and feels their feelings and sympathizing their frustrations. He is exceptionally talented person that understand immigrant communities and help them to get on their foot and lead better life. We can’t even imagine the OCM without Mr. Jemal’s tireless contribution and we are proud of his outstanding contributions and success for this long.  He effectively accomplishes his duties according to the directive stated.

Employment Counselor and Community Outreach

 Mr. Girma Hassen is Employment Counselor, Family Coaching coordinator, and Community Outreach

​Mr. Hassen has earned his BA Degree in International Business Management from Metropolitan State University, and he is working on MBA Augsburg University (In progress) 

Mr. Hassen coordinate employment counseling, elderlies, and family coaching programs. He is a constant and energetic social servant, who has an exceptional passion for serving people. He has a good understands and strives to solve intercultural and intergenerational gaps in our community. Thus harmonies helped him be successful at his job. As job counselor, Mr. Girma helped job seekers and develop their resume, and identify their interest, recommending job openings based on their skills and experiences. By de-escalating some contemporary social problems and cultural shakes created a comfortable environment for everyone and empresses our community. 

When state what makes him happy at his job, Mr. Girma Hassen said, “Nothing makes happier than seeing people you have helped today be on their foot and pursuing a better life.”

Jemal Yusuf Abdulla


Mr. Abdula is a Youth program coordinator

Mr. Abdilla is an LLB graduate from Haramaya University School of Law. He had practiced Justice in Oromia regional state first instance court in Ethiopia, and he had an apparition certificate from Oromia Reginal state Supreme court.

Currently, Mr. Abdulla is working for the Oromo Community of Minnesota as a Youth program coordinator, employment counseling, and family coaching department. He is also assisting the client in applying for medical insurance, immigration, and some other social services. His sincerely and friend client-serving approach makes his job more comfortable and certainly, helped our community to serve more clients.

Jemal said, “We always make sure we serve the people we care about.”
